Developer Training Day

Data Deluxe will be conducting a Developer Training Day on December 13, 2008!

After attending this class you will have gained working knowledge of:

• Better code design using the Single Responsibility Principle, Dependency Injection, Inversion of Control, and the Service Locator Pattern.

   

• Unit Testing using NUnit, MBUnit, Zanebug, and TestDriven.NET.

   

• Setting up and using your own Source Control system with Subversion.

   

• Using "virtual" machines to create stable, mobile work environments.

Data Deluxe produced its first software based on the .NET framework while it was still in beta, and has never looked back.  We have converted large scale VB5/6 apps to .NET as well as large Classic ASP sites into ASP.NET.  Along the way, we've learned the hard lessons - so you don't have to! I'm a long way from the days when I was an "Access guru" - having moved up to SQL Server when version 7 just came out.  It's a steep learning curve, but it has been very well worth it.
